Urgent Question! Where to order special parts size produces photovoltaic cells / prototype.?
My friend and I are building of a project, but we need 6, 3 inch by 3 inch pieces of photovoltaic cells. Is there a place where we can something special order like this for a prototype / product. We need it for a project in which the solar cells will power two cell phones and two iPods. REMEMBER! This should be a place / company where we can have special size photovoltaic cells commissioned and produced for our product.
Have you tried contacting one of the leading manufacturers like Sharp? Anyway, unless the use is only using cells photovoltaics for supplementary feeding, I'm not sure such a small space can provide enough power for two phones and two MP3 players. In better conditions of solar radiation to 1367 watts / meter. The collector area is about 0,137 meters and the efficiency of PV is about 12% so that the best output power before any loss is about 22 or 23 watts or less than 5 watts per device. Enough?
