What will bond glass together the best?
i want to know what is the strongest compound i can get to bond glass to glass. I have a cylindrical decorative glass piece that snapped cleanly in two pieces with no fragments or anything. I tried cheapo super glue, but it didn't say glass on the box. The bond only lasted a day. Since it is a decoration, i prefer a product that will dry clear. I REALLY want to save this piece, so if anyone knows a great product, let me know!!!
Cyanoacrylate should have worked very well. But probably not a second time.
Clean the broken ends with rubbing alcohol, let dry and try again with an optically clear epoxy (not the fast setting type). Be careful with the alignment, use a splint or bracing and lean up the excess with a sharp knife.
