How to make money Sephora?
Their store policy allows anyone to return any item, even if it is used. I know some people must buy for a special occasion and then return them, similar to clothing. The only difference is, is simply Spehora throw the product away because it is unhealthy to resell or use as testers. In addition, they must go through so many testers! And the last time I was there, the sales lady literally used as a half-bottle of makeup on me (an expensive brand that she was trying to sell me) and half a container of lip brushes. Not to mention the scrubbing and the fabrics used on me too. Anyone know how much profit they could possibly do with all these factors?
Hello ~ I asked the lady who worked at Nordstroms in Lancome and why on Sephora Sephora foundation testers look really gross compared to Nordstroms and Macys testers. Really gross sense that foundations are separate and have this oil layer on top. She said that all their "old" brands of makeup are sent to stores like Sephora. "Old" sense of composition was sitting around a while, if not exactly expired. So I guess that Sephora made their money by being a sort of a outlet store for cosmetics.
